[Narrator] The cast of Wake Up, Dead Man:

A Knives Out Mystery will be competing in challenges,

testing their culinary skill.

Who will be the last one standing?

[dramatic music]

I'm not bad. No.

I cook.

Yeah, I agree. But this isn't cooking.

We're doing weird challenges.

[Josh laughing] That's a very different

skill set, my friend.

[kooky music]

[Narrator] Wake up, dead man.

You are a kitchen servant.

Your boss starts their day with a glass of orange juice.

[chime ringing] Choose your tool

and squeeze juice from the oranges

[liquid dripping] into the bowl.

I'm gonna do the squishy thingy.

I like the squishy thing. No, no, no,

I want the squishy thing. You didn't speak up.

[Narrator] You have 30 seconds.

This is a strength game. Then you must weigh

your bowl.

First place gets two points.

Second place gets one point.

Third place gets zero points.

[kooky music continues]

You know what would win?

An automatic one, those that you just put the thing in,

Well, yeah. It goes

[shushing] out. Yeah, a machine.

Yes.

[tone beeping] This makes me nervous.

[tense music] [tone beeping]

[dishes clanking]

Is this nerve wracking?

Oh, God. I'm gonna lose.

I don't think so, but you're going so fast.

Maybe I. It's speed, right?

This might be.

How long do we have? 30 seconds, 30 seconds.

[liquid pouring]

Oh my God. [laughing] It's getting everywhere.

[Cailee grunting] I've got orange in my eyes.

[laughing] Right?

I mean, that's kind of funny all on its own.

[Cailee] I feel good about this.

[exciting music]

[Mila] These are good oranges.

[Josh] It's hard work, isn't it?

[persons grunting] [chime ringing]

Okay. [drum rolling]

[gasping] He cheated.

You guys said stop and. Oh, my god.

[group laughing]

No, but guys, can I just say

that this device works differently to your device?

You can go directly in. I don't care.

I have have to build up. He said stop

and you didn't stop. Wow.

I think I've actually won. You've won.

[group laughing]

[suspenseful music]

911.5.

[hands clapping]

[suspenseful music continues]

What was yours?

911.5.

What's yours?

977.

[grunting] It's the pulp. This is so.

The pulp is heavier. I don't wanna go.

I don't wanna go.

Sorry, Cailee.

[suspenseful music continues]

Okay.

What is it?

[Cailee] 933.

[group laughing]

Wait, how is that possible?

This is Mila's.

What are you doing?

Yeah, 911. [group gasping]

But how's it? But wait,

put it next to each other. [group gasping]

It's defying logic.

[group laughing]

Using my mind. Logically speaking, guys.

[chimes ringing]

[tense music]

I think that this is rigged.

Oh, my god. [group laughing]

Guys.

[glass clanking] How are we gonna prove

otherwise? How is it possible?

It's just the facts, proofs in the pudding.

That this is heavier than this?

I don't want to challenge. I'm here to have fun.

I'm merely pointing out [laughing] that this is rigged.

[group laughing] [Mila snorting]

[lively music]

[Narrator] The red herring.

You are a sushi master. [chimes ringing]

Use the tools and ingredients [lively music continues]

to create a perfect tuna avocado maki roll.

Nori, rice, tuna, and avocado.

Place your roll onto the plate

and pick up one piece of sushi

using the chopsticks. [chime ringing]

[lively music continues] First place gets six points.

Second place gets three points.

Third place gets zero points.

[tone chiming]

Is it speed or quality? Is it sushi.

It's speed. Speed.

Oh, let's go.

Wait. No. It has to look

like a roll of sushi. Yeah, it has to,

it has to hold up.

Yeah, you gotta be specific. Yeah, that's good

to establish that. Yeah.

[tone beeping] [tense music]

Oh.

[exciting music]

[Josh] Rice first.

I think so that was what the video said.

I'm not helping you, Josh O'Connor.

Okay. I think I put in too much avocado.

All right now what do you do with this?

Oh wait, they used this guy.

[beep] it went like this.

[tone beeping] [exciting music continues]

[Josh] Oh, [tone beeping].

Oh, no.

What?

Wait, this isn't work.

Wait. [laughing]

Knives out. [Cailee laughing]

Get it. Oh, this isn't gonna fall apart.

You are missed, you're supposed to cut it

on the cutting boarder.

Cheater. [sticks clanking]

[chime ringing]

[person cheering and clapping]

Guys.

Yeah. Why are you?

Just doing it with care. [Cailee laughing]

I believe sushi the making of sushi

is supposed to be a meditative act.

I guarantee this tastes better than theirs.

[group gasping]

Don't eat the fish.

[group laughing]

She said don't eat it.

[Crew] Don't eat the fish.

Just spit it. Spit it out.

Just spit it out. Spit it out.

Spit it out.

If it's bad fish.

The chef thinks it's fine.

I think that's fine.

Guys, it's all under control. That's so scary.

[chimes ringing] What happened

to Josh O'Connor?

While he was doing Epicurious competition

and he ate a bad fish. [tense music]

But I'm sad that I lost,

but I'm happy for my friends

that they picked up some points.

This one's pathetic.

I dunno if you can see that, but.

[upbeat music]

[Narrator] Reliable witness,

you have been called to testify and test your memory.

You will be shown a sequence of 10 fruits

in a specific order.

Then you'll have 30 seconds [clock ticking]

to recreate the exact sequence in front of you

using your fruit.

The suspect

with the fewest points [alarm buzzing]

after this round will be arrested.

We will show you the sequence two times now.

Watch closely and remember.

Here it is.

[tones chiming]

Orange, banana,

kiwi, strawberry,

apple, lime,

apple,

banana,

orange,

kiwi.

Again, the order is orange,

banana,

kiwi,

strawberry,

apple,

lime, apple,

banana,

orange,

kiwi.

Alright, to hell with it. Okay.

Let's do it. Okay.

[lively music] [fruit thudding]

Okay, it's this. Orange.

Orange. Banana. Banana.

Kiwi. Kiwi.

Apple, oh. Strawberry,

apple, lime,

Apple, banana.

I did it. To me it's gorg.

I did it. That's what we did.

I did it. It's not about time.

I flipped these two. Is it?

It's just about getting it right.

[Crew] You have five seconds.

Oh, [beeping].

I did it.

[chime ringing]

[dramatic music]

Orange. [chime ringing]

Banana. [chime ringing]

Yeah.

Kiwi. [chime ringing]

strawberry, [chime ringing]

apple. [chime ringing]

Oh, god.

[chime ringing] Lime.

Apple. [buzzer blaring]

Yes.

Banana. [buzzer blaring]

[Cailee sighing]

Orange. [buzzer blaring]

Oh, wow.

Mila, well done. [hand clapping]

That was a fluke, guys. Honestly,

[chimes ringing]

[Narrator] Josh has been eliminated.

[tense music]

I'm still a bit confused about the orange juice task

and why I didn't get six points.

It wouldn't. Anyone else?

That's you confused about, not the fact

that the volume. No, no.

Was off between Cailee and I?

I'm thrilled that you guys are doing so well.

But isn't that? What's your question?

Yeah. No, fine.

[Mila laughing]

I'm actually not that disappointed about this one.

I've got a terrible memory.

This is brutal. [group laughing]

This is a gladiatorial this [beep].

I've been eliminated.[laughing]

Bested out to my friends. Thanks.

[kooky music]

[Narrator] Cake knives out.

You are holding the weapon.

Use the knife to cut the cake

[chime ringing] exactly in half.

Each half must weigh exactly the same.

Put your pieces on the scale and use the calculator.

The suspect with the smallest difference wins the case

and the golden knife. [signal hissing]

[kooky music continues]

[triumphant music] [wind whipping]

[tense music]

Here we go.

I'm gonna close one eye.

Make a wish.

It's all right. That a gorgeous knife.

[Cailee] Yeah.

You can have it.

Okay. That's my half cut.

It's nowhere near even.

[knife clanking]

That's my final answer.

Why don't we put this on the scale.

Go to zero and now place one half on here.

[Mila grunting]

Drop it.

[tense music continues]

Use this.

What's this for?

Minus. The difference.

Do math. So you take the difference.

I'm 59.5.

Now we take the other plate.

Okay.

I'm on hand if you need anything.

Thank you. [tense music continues]

Oh, my gosh.

This makes me so nervous.

I've got it.

Okay. 59.8.

Okay.

[Cailee] Whoa.

Mila, we don't need to do the math.

Point one. What?

0.3, It's eight and five.

Oh, yeah. [group laughing]

We don't need to do the math.

We don't need to do the math.

Someone does. [group laughing]

Okay. Is this poisonous too?

No. It's really good. I ate it.

What's the point?

This one's so much.

It's really good, but have some frosting, it's yummy.

Just. Yeah, it's really good.

What is this cake?

Okay. There's no point in me

doing this though. Close your eyes.

Okay. I'm telling you

use my technique. [tense music continues]

Guys, just take, this looks really right.

Yeah. I think you're doing

a great job.

[tense music continues]

[Cailee gasping] [Mila gasping]

It's still fine.

Okay. [shushing]

Okay. Don't breathe. No, no.

You got it. I got my [indistinct].

Like this? Yeah. Thank you.

[tense music continues]

60.1.

Okay. 60.1.

Pop that into my calculator. Thank you.

Pop that in there.

Oh, okay.

[tense music continues]

Cool. Plop that down.

It's 61.7.

[Narrator] Cailee has been eliminated.

Which by the way, I still think is unbelievable.

I feel good. I feel good.

That's pretty amazing. I'm good.

I'm really, actually genuinely

proud of you and I. That was so good.

[hands slapping] Both of you were great.

That was really good.

Yeah. Yeah. This makes sense to me.

Yeah. This is not my game.

[item banging]

[Mila snorting] Oh, man.

Well, [plucky music]

it finally happened.

I really felt like I deserved it.

Just a quick statement. No, no.

See, I'd like to thank really Rachel Ray.

Okay, thank you so much.

I love this knife.

I would like to share it

with my fellow co-stars. Oh.

I think we all earned it.

Wow. Equally.

It was a team effort.

It's a little light.

Knives out. I would say

it's not a super heavy knife.

Mila, congratulations.

[Mila] Honor. Thank you guys.
