Ingredients

1/2 cup brandy
4 1/2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons framboise eau-de-vie (clear raspberry brandy)*
15 strawberries, hulled
1 750-ml bottle chilled brut Champagne

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Stir brandy, sugar, and framboise in medium bowl. Slice 9 strawberries; add to brandy mixture. Let stand 1 hour at room temperature, then strain. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover; chill brandy mixture and remaining 6 strawberries separately.)

    Step 2

    Divide brandy mixture among 6 Champagne glasses. Add 1 strawberry to each glass. Fill with Champagne; serve.
