    Makes 6 servings

Ingredients

4 cups Madeira
6 tablespoons honey

6 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
1/2 cup Cointreau or other orange liqueur

Preparation

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in heavy large saucepan. Bring almost to simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cook wine mixture 10 minutes to allow flavors to blend (do not simmer).
